Marshmallow Brownies




Needing my sweet fix I made these brownies today. A modified recipe that I made with ingredients I had in the house. They were just to thing to satisfy that sweet tooth.








1/2 cup baking Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3 teaspoons water
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
6-8 marshmallows

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup crisco and water. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar and eggs. Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread batter into prepared pan. Rip marshmallows in half and place in top of batter.
Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.
Cool and serve.
